Wendy May Armeneau, resident of Valleyview, AB, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024, at the age of 67 years, after a brave battle with cancer.

Wendy was born May 31, 1957, in McLennan, AB, and was raised on the family farm in the Sweathouse area. She attended school in Sunset House and later, Valleyview, where she graduated from Hillside High School. She married her loving husband, Ron, on September 6, 1975. She worked in the community at the bank and local pharmacy before joining her husband in various business ventures.

Wendy was an animal lover. She always had horses, cats, and dogs. She particularly loved riding and caring for her Paint and Quarter Horses, and had a soft spot for the barn cats. She loved caring for her yard in the summer and spent countless hours on the lawn mower. In her younger years, she enjoyed curling in the winter and remained an avid curling fan throughout her life.

Wendy will be sadly missed by her husband Ron, daughter Carrie, son Michael (and wife Eva), and grandchildren Emmett and Adele. She is survived by her siblings: Marge (Dwayne) Tyrkalo, Cindy (Darren) Soderquist, Ed (Lorna) Tollefson, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and aunts.

She was predeceased by her parents Wally and Vicki Tollefson.

As per Wendy’s wishes, there will not be a service held.
