In Loving Memory of
Micheal Ryan Christopherson

of Beaverlodge, Alberta
January 3, 1989 - June 16, 2024

It is with heavy hearts we are grieving the loss of Micheal Ryan Christopherson. He passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the age of 35 years. Micheal was loved by so many and remembered by anyone who ever crossed his path. His presence was always the biggest energy in the room. Even when he was sleeping... For a 3-block radius or half the town of Wembley.

Mike would give the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it more than he did.  Mike’s sense of humor, blunt honesty, sarcasm, and teasing, which he used to maintain his “ASS HOLE” persona may have appeared harsh to those who did not truly know him. Those who did know him knew that the more he teased and joked with you, the more you meant to him and the more he cared. Truth be told, he was a teddy bear, a gentle giant with a heart of gold. His specialty bear hugs will be missed by so many, and the lives he touched are endless.

Mike lived his life in full throttle. He was always the life of the party, and up for a good time and adventure. He loved cruising the back roads with his friends, quadding, hunting, camping trips with those he loved most, playing in the mud, getting dirty, and creating endless stories. “MIKE MOMENTS” were what he lived for. Mike lived like he had nine lives but, after the stories I have heard, he had closer to 97. The loss of Mike left us all with a huge emptiness in our hearts and was taken away far too soon. He did go “Mike Style” (go big or go home), one last party, one last adventure, and I am sure too many “Mike Moments” to count. He went peacefully in his sleep, after a fun-filled weekend doing what he loved, with the people he loved and the people who loved him.

Mike left his mark in this world for his kind heart and carefree attitude. He was unapologetically Mike at all costs. What you see is what you get. Everyone’s favorite “ASS HOLE” as he tried to convince so many. He imprinted on our hearts so deeply that his spirit will carry on within us for eternity. His adventures, his stories, and his “Mike Moments” will be told for generations to come, bringing us laughter whenever we miss him the most. He will always be remembered for his kind heart and the life lessons he left behind for those who looked up to him. Life lessons like things you should do or try to do, things you should probably never do, and then there is the long list of things you should NEVER, EVER do.

To Mike, his family and friends were everything. He will be sadly missed by his mother Dianna; father Dave; sisters Michelle (Justin) and Brandi (Anthony); nephews: starting with his mini-me Rylan, Kasper, and Kaz; nieces: Trinity, Brooklyn, Khloe, Kimberly, Karly and last but not least, little Kinzlee aka bubs; great-niece and nephew Lux and Talus; grandmother Jean; aunts, uncles, and cousins. The list could go on.
